Dacorum District P.S.F.A 2018-2019 Squad

After five trials in which approximately 110 children attended, I am delighted to declare the Dacorum District U11s squad for the 2018-2019 season. The squad is made up from the following children; Zac, Hayden, Luke, Max, Khyan, Josh, Harry, Elliott, Zack, Malachi, Henry, Ben, Jamie and Edward. This squad will compete in the Southern Counties League, Hertfordshire League, The Shires Cup, The Southern Counties Cup and the Hertfordshire Inter District 7-a-side Championship this season.

End of Season Awards 2017-2018

Player of the Season - Curtis Lewinson
Curtis was the foundation upon which all of our best district performances were based on. Reliable throughout the season, Curtis peaked in the Hertfordshire 9-a-side County Championship Cup final with a faultless performance in which he captained his team to a 4 nil win.

Goal of the Season - Billy Goodwin
With many contenders staking a claim for this award, Billy edged out the competition with an excellent Cryuff turn on the edge of the Gloucester District area followed by a right foot finish into the top corner.

Team Player - Adam Jewell
Adam is a versatile player who played in a variety of position during the season, however, it was his lung busting performance at central midfield that have earned him this accolade. His high energy, aggressive tackling qualities often brought the best out of the players around him and solidified the team as a whole.

Performance of the Season - Ilyes Heurton
Ilyes was the clear winner of this award. His dominant performance against Oxford District was the turning point of our season. Struggling at the start of the season, Ilyes put Oxford District to the sword, scoring a hat trick in our first competitive win of the season and sparked the start of a strong winning streak for his district team.

Most Improved Player - Mason Clarke
There were many candidates for this award, however, Mason went from strength-to-strength during the season, culminating in a match winning performance over North Herts District in the Hertfordshire 9-a-side County Cup Final.

Hertfordshire 9-a-side Championship Success

After a tough start to the season with mixed results, Dacorum's results began to improve around November. With a strong run in the second half of the season, Dacorum qualified for the final of the Hertfordshire 9-a-side Championship, a competition they hadn't won since 2014. Playing against a very talented North Herts District, who had already won the Hertfordshire County Championship earlier in the season, Dacorum would have a battle on their hands to win this competition.

With all the players seeming to have bonded over their End of Season Tour to Madrid, Dacorum took the game to North Herts, with an aggressive high press throughout the full game and all players playing to the top of the ability, Dacorum ran out 4 nil winners with the goals coming from Dieago, Louis and Billy.
