2012-2013 End of Season Tour to Madrid

The Dacorum District U11s Football Team went on their End of Season Tour to Madrid, Spain. 14 boys and 3 adults ventured to Spain’s capital city to go for a Stadium tour, theme parks and tapas.

On this trip, the children visited Madrid’s main theme park, Parque de Attracciones, in which many of the boys tested each others bravery by seeing who was willing to go on the most extreme rides. Though the boys enjoyed the trip to the theme park, the main attraction was definitely going to Real Madrid’s world famous football stadium, the Santiago Bernabeú, home of great players such as Cristiano Ronaldo and Xabi Alonso. Dacorum District Goalkeeper said, “Visiting the Bernabeú was inspiring, it was amazing to go to a stadium where so many great players have played.”

Dacorum District Co-manager, Stuart Stedman said, “We’ve had a really successful season and going on tour to Madrid was the perfect way to finish off the season. The boys have worked so hard on the pitch this season and deserved a good break away.” Luke Nicholls, Dacorum District Co-manager added, “A trip like this can only help to inspire these young footballers to strive to reach their potential. I hope this was an experience that these boys will remember for a long time.”
